Towards the western end of the island, not too far from the international airport is a refreshing pit stop known as “Tropical Daiquiris”. The location is easily accessible from Downtown, Nassau, although the drive will take you about 20 minutes or so, whether you rent a scooter or car. It is just down the road from Caves Village, in front of a beach.

Andy, the owner and chef, is a jovial host who can mix just about anything in his blender and produce the "best Daiquiri of your life,” or so he brags. Many of his customers agree. Andy is a daiquiri wizard and his recipes are a well-guarded secret.

“The way he mixes fruits and makes them into something so magical and healthy is great,” says Shavic Bain, a taxi driver who routinely takes tourists to this offbeat spot.

"I take my customers here because of his reputation and the atmosphere; the beach is right there and they can hangout by the bar and have a good time until it’s time to go,” says Mr Bain.
